      Senior Java Developer Interview

      Jun 24, 2020
      Anonymous Interview Candidate
      No offer
      Negative experience
      Average interview

      Application

I applied through a staffing agency. I interviewed at SWORD GROUP in Jun 2020

      Interview

A worst interview experience. Initially , there was a skype interview for technical discussion. After successful completion, managerial round happened. . Next, there was a client round where i need to solve coding questions remotely. SWORD emailed me that there was a positive feedback on my candidature. After that, again, there was a skype round wherein direct interaction with client happened. There was a positive feedback. HR round happened. I was asked to submit my documents. Again, the company asked me to undergo a client round.,where i need to solve 2 Java tasks remotely. Finally, the company informs me on whatsapp chat that the client is not "so positive" with my profile. I really wonder how the company can waste a candidate time to a great extent. Really frustrated by their process. I was informed there was a positive feedback on my final task. Post that, client has said NO to my profile. Please don't consider this company. You are wasting your valuable time by attending their interviews unnecessarily. For no reason, the company is rejecting at the final round.

      Anonymous Interview Candidate

      No offer
      Negative experience
      Easy interview

      Application

I applied online. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at SWORD GROUP (Athens, Athens, Attica) in Apr 2024

      Interview

Immediately after our first communication, I was pressured to schedule the interview for the next working day, despite my existing work commitments. The company insisted I take the technical interview during my lunch break, with a promise of a response within a week. In the interview, I faced 4-5 interviewers, including HR, a developer, and a software architect. Despite being informed of my work pressures and fatigue, they proceeded with simple theoretical questions that seemed more academic than practical, that one could simply answer by googling on a second window during the interview. These questions did not challenge my technical skills as a senior developer, nor did they require actual coding, although I was able to respond with at least 80% accuracy. The software architect, in particular, did not contribute positively, often making rude comments without adding value to the discussion. Never heard back from them, not even an automated decline response while they should have provided a detailed reason for not making an offer based on the conditions of the specific interview. I regretted spending my lunch break to waste my time with them. Notice to those interested, be cautious.
