It was pretty nice, Since I was a fresher, the partners made me very comfortable and the interview went very smoothly. I was asked about my prior internship experiences and why I wanted to work at the firm.

You need to apply directly. there is no interview. Make sure to continuously follow up on your application. Only consisitent follow up can increase your chances of getting an internship.
There is a normal interview process. Sometimes written assignment is taken prior to discussion, and sometimes only discussion round is there. This depends on availability of the person. They may discuss technical as well as legal questions.
