I applied through a recruiter. I interviewed at Saltworks Technologies (Richmond, BC)
Interview
I interviewed in 2024. The interview itself was very standard. However, it gave me a bad impression of the company. Four people interviewed me. Everyone looked super tired, like they did not sleep last night. Their culture seems to be promoting working as long as possible. No work-life balance. Also, no hybrid/remote work, onsite only. They dislike any flexible schedule culture. Salary was bad based on the long work hours and long commute time.
it was a 3 stage interview, first with HR, second with Supervisor and last stage with the director. All in all not difficult but you have to have good knowledge of engineering.

Interview
The most strange interview process I've ever been. I had the interview on Zoom and when the interview started I realized that I'm being displayed on a large screen and 4 people are staring at me, which made me uncomfortable from the beginning.
One of the interviewers asked questions that were like you are in a second-year engineering course exam, although I have several years of engineering experience.
Disappointing!
