Completely unprofessional. I advanced all the way to the final interview, but then they just ghosted me and never gave me a final response. To make it even worse, the external recruiter who I was working with told me bald faced lies such as "[the manager] is out on travel, just a few more days until we get back to you". This was all after I was told I already passed the technical screening. I took time away from my current job to make myself available for these interviews. Very disrespectful on their part. Doesn't matter how old or new the company is, or if a higher up overruled the tech leads and ultimately decided against making me an offer. At least have the professional courtesy to say so. Don't lie to people, don't ghost them.
