Standard questions done via the phone with an HR rep. The interview ended up being 2 rounds because I ended up being offered another position that I hadn't applied for.
No surprise questions, no additional tasks or presentations needed.
I applied online. I interviewed at Scouts Canada (Toronto, ON) in Sep 2024
Interview
Had to fill out a Detailed questionnaire about my marketing experience.
Then I had to do an assignment where I had to create a marketing campaign that was quite comprehensive and present that marketing campaign in my first interview.
In the second interview, I met the entire marketing team.
I was told following that interview, the final candidate would meet the CEO the following day.
I never received an email it was clear that I was not the final candidate, but I thought it was really in bad taste and quite rude to not have at least sent me an email thanking me given all the work, time and effort I put in.
It’s really amazing how badly employees Treat potential candidates they seem to forget the candidates if they have a bad experience with the company it leaves a very bad taste in their mouth and now you can be sure that I’m not going to say nice things about scouts.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
The basic average ones - tell me about yourself, what interest you in this job etc.
I applied in-person. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at Scouts Canada (Ottawa, ON) in Mar 2023
Interview
It was as expected. Asked generic questions for screening process. Individual had little information about volunteer experience and expectations. Outlined detailed screening requirements but wasn’t clear about value of taking on volunteer role or how skills would benefit. It’s a volunteer position - why make it so complicated
