      Account Executive Interview

      Difficult interview

      Application

I applied through a recruiter. I interviewed at Scribe

      Interview

Very lengthy and intense interview process. I was initially drawn in by the recruiter, who was nice and helpful in preparing me for later stages of the interview (which included a mock discovery call, demo of the product, and territory plan presentation). The territory plan was the most difficult - they give you a list of accounts with a bunch of data and you are tasked with putting together a plan of attack. I was told not to spend more than 1-2 hours on it but I ended up spending closer to 5-6 due to how much data there was and wanting to thoroughly analyze everything. I thought I put together a pretty solid plan, but during the presentation they stopped me after every slide and drilled me with questions, even though later slides in my presentation literally would have addressed so many of their questions. To be honest, it did throw me off and kind of shook my confidence, and I could just tell by their body language & tone of voice I wasn't going to make it past this round. The product is very good and they are experiencing a lot of growth, so it makes sense why they have a very thorough and intense interview process as they want to hire top talent. I just wish I had been more prepared for all of the questions they asked me during the presentation. I have interviewed (and received offers) at lots of companies for AE roles recently, and this was by far the toughest interview process I have experienced.
