I met with the current bookkeeper who was leaving. Extremely nice and knowledgeable, through our interview I gathered she was leaving because of company culture. I met with their accountant and I was told I was perfect, that they were offering me the position and I just had to formalize it in a meeting wit the owner. ... and then I met with Tom Laudani, one of the owners. Rude, cocky and a general AH. Knew one of my old employers and apparently did not like him and proceeded to berate me for working for his competitors company. They never cancelled my 3rd interview and even though by this time I was not interested I showed up (because I am professional) and they said sorry, Tom said no. Now working for another high end builder and our head project manager worked for Seaside for several years, he said he left because Tom berated him and turned him into the "wiping post" I have worked in construction as a bookkeeping/management for 30 plus years and this supervisor is one of the best I ever saw. So in summary, most of Seaside team is good. The co owner has no backbone and will not stand up to Tom even though he has stated Tom is wrong and a jerk. They pay decent because they have to and they can still not keep employees. Don't even waste your time on an interview
