      Principal Technical Support Engineer Interview

      Jan 28, 2019
      Anonymous Interview Candidate
      Irvine, CA
      Declined offer
      Negative experience
      Average interview

      Application

I applied through a staffing agency. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at SecureAuth (Irvine, CA) in Oct 2018

      Interview

Interview process started with some external recruiter reaching out to me. This being considered a remote position, all interviews were either on phone or conference calls. After a brief phone conversation an interview with SecureAuth manager was organized, but it ended up they calling me a day ahead when I was in the middle of something. It seemed they didn't know when the interview was setup or recruiter screwed up. Interview process was lengthy and painful. We sat down for 3 rounds of interviews, each was minimum 2 weeks apart from the last one. It took nearly a month to finish up 3 rounds, which was frustrating, as after every interview I had to reach to people about next steps and it seemed nobody was clear on that. The last interview was, weird! I wasn't sure who was present in the room, who was asking what and to whom I am answering to....as people keeps getting in and out casually. I had to wait for some of the interviewer while one guy was done questioning me but for a good 15 minutes no one joined. very confusing. After going through all these I didn't hear back from them for a couple of weeks. Then the recruiter reached and said the position can't be remote as it was mentioned at the beginning and if I wanted "to be considered", I have to move. I felt cheated, disgusted and it was a waste of my time and effort. Thank God I didn't have to work for this company, stay away.
