Initially I was contacted by a recruiter for the Premium Auditor position. I submitted my resume and he edited and submitted it to the company without telling me he would. He arranged an interview with the Director of Underwriting for two weeks out. I arrived at the interview and was told by the receptionist that I would be interviewing with Debbie. No title or last name was given. Debbie came and escorted me into a conference room that was a mess. Debbie didn't ask very many questions or offer much information. I asked several questions to get a feel for the organization and the role. She explained that the interview was handed over to he that morning and she didn't know much. She asked if I was interested in going forward. I did and she led me to HR to sign documents for a drug test and credit check. I was told that I had to get the drug test within 48 hours of the interview. When I went to get the drug test, I was told that there was also a physical exam that was part of the hiring process. The position is an office position, answering phones and creating audits. I declined to go further with the process due to the heavy handed hiring process. I felt it was a severe intrusion in my medical background to ask for a physical exam for an office position.
