You will get selected if you have mugged up interview questions on TestNG framework and basic on API. The interviewers themselves ask seeing the internet.
The HR reviews my profile calls me up for interview stating it would be a 30min round and not apart from that. Also, quotes that the resume matches to the opening that they have. Sadly talent acquisition HRs have absolute no knowledge of HR these days in reviewing technical profiles.
So the candidate goes there only to know that the technology that they expect is completely different from what is mentioned in the profile. The interviewer is some person who has just started automation using the framework that is most famous or used in the market since it is old and asks a 8 year experienced person on how to click on element. Absolutely no questions on best practices, CI, deployment, structuring process in previous org... NOTHING!!!
The automation appears to be a hobby there as its trending everywhere and really going there for the automation role is not recommended.
Neither the HR, interviewer, TA team has any idea of what is the job requirement, process or JD. Upon asking what is the JD the HR informs that it would be made known during interview.
I later mailed the HR to not proceed irrespective of whatever result that was gathered from my shabby interview.
If you require a coder, send the assignments and filter out the best coder before calling for the face to face.
If you wanna architect, ask about every framework in the market.
It is absolutely senseless to learn to perform click operations in 5 different languages.
In short, Structure the interview process , the questions and the interviewers.
