      Freelance Wrier Interview

      Apr 27, 2026
      Anonymous Interview Candidate
      No offer
      Negative experience
      Easy interview

      Application

I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Siege Media

      Interview

Friendly conversation, mostly about why I am a freelancer and what topics I enjoy writing about. Didn't feel like the interviewer was interested in any particulars beyond asking scripted questions. After mentioning that "if I were successful," there would be "next steps," radio silence. Sent a follow-up, and didn't even get a rejection notice. I don't know when ghosting candidates after interviews became the norm, but I feel like I dodged a bullet. If a company treats candidates this way, I wouldn't want to find out how they treat contractors/employees.
