During my recent interview experience, I noticed a surprising approach regarding salary adjustment. The interviewer seemed to make decisions about my compensation based solely on my initial self-introduction, without taking the time to fully understand my background, skills, or experience. This raised concerns about potential bias, especially when they pushed to reduce my expected salary to just 2.2RM, which feels significantly below the market rate for someone with my qualifications. Ultimately, fair and transparent communication during interviews is essential, as it allows both parties to determine if there's a genuine fit. Moving forward, I am keen to find a company that values its employees fairly and supports their professional growth.
