I applied online. The process took 2 days. I interviewed at Smith+Nephew (Memphis, TN) in Jul 2008
Interview
They use behavioral interviewing as their standard. Questions like, “Tell me about a time when you worked as part of a team and one of the team members was not contributing. How did you handle the situation? What was the outcome?”
The best way to deal with those questions was to use the STAR method. Tell them the Situation/Task (the circumstances of the event/ task you were assigned), your Action, (what you really did, not what you should have, could have or would have done) then give the Result of your action (how it turned out in the end).
Some of the questions ask specifically for a time when the result was bad. With those remember to add what you learned from the negative result to avoid them in the future.

Question 1
Tell me about a time when you failed to meet a deadline. What did you learn from that experience?

I applied in-person. I interviewed at Smith+Nephew (Fort Worth, TX) in Feb 2020
Interview
half a day talking to a mix of managers and colleagues ... the disappointing thing was that I got no follow-up at all afterwards, even after I wrote the most senior manager I met with a hard-copy letter
I applied online. I interviewed at Smith+Nephew in Apr 2019
Interview
Very smooth process, standard questions and then you have an oppty to ask your questions. It was more of a conversation rather than a typical here is 40 questions; It was a very enjoyable process.
