1. Phone screen
Initial phone screen initiated with HR Manager. It was unexpectedly postponed for some reason from the initial date. Given some background info on the company and the role with some time to ask questions. I did find this conversation to be particularly rigid and I felt as if it was difficult to engage with the HR Manager but again, nothing too out of the ordinary.
2. Writing Sample Request
Was told to provide a writing sample highlighting a feature/request. I felt as if this was overkill given that I provided additional materials with my application previously but I happily provided it nonetheless. Likely varies by candidate but I was tasked with providing requirements for a feature request.
3. Interview with Hiring Manager
Zoom interview lasting one hour discussing the role and asking standard questions about experience. I was a little miffed to know that my work sample wasn't discussed which I thought would have been a topic of discussion. That being said, fairly standard interview process.
Ultimately I was not chosen to continue which would have included final round interviews with members of the engineering team and CEO (from what I was told). Wasn't really given any feedback or a reason as to why but that's fine.
Definitely impressed with their quick turn around time, however.
