      Engineering Manager Interview

      Jul 5, 2022
      Anonymous Interview Candidate
      No offer
      Negative experience
      Average interview

      Application

I applied online. The process took 6 weeks. I interviewed at Snowplow in Jun 2022

      Interview

Initial call with a recruiter and then an interview with two Heads of Engineering. Prior to the interview, they gave me three real life problems and asked me to prepare a presentation on how I would approach them. The interview was okay, with some rather typical questions for this role. However, they did not provide any update until 4 weeks later when I received an impersonal, automatic email which said that they offered to someone else. I kindly asked for some feedback but they did not even bother to reply. Not proving timely updates or any feedback is clearly a sign of bad culture. It is also disrespectful towards candidates who put time and effort to complete a task and would expect at least a couple of bullet points with any positive or negative feedback.
