Two panel interviews, first with Regional Managers and second with Regional Safety VP as well as VP of Manufacturing. Direct, to-the-point interview -- was extremely straightforward. Received an email withing 5 business days noting that a formal job offer was pending. Received a call with job offer approximately 3 days later.
I applied through college or university. The process took 2 months. I interviewed at Sonoco (SC) in Sep 2017
Interview
An initial interview with one of the corporate recruiters was done on campus the day after the career fair. Questions about your experience, resume, and personality were asked. The interview was more of a conversation and was super laid back. Recruiter was very helpful in describing the company, the divisions, and where they already thought you might be a good fit. A second round interview was done a month or so later at the corporate office in Hartsville. Different divisions within the company sign up to interview you. Candidates typically have at least 2-3 divisions wanting to interview them. Sonoco takes care of all travel costs and is very welcoming with networking dinners and plant tours. Interviews were again very laid back and conversational. Great experience overall.
