First I got contacted on LinkedIn by the CEO, then we had a phone interview, then she sent me a link for a recorded video interview (it displayed the question and once I answered, I was able to continue with the next question). The application was not for a specific role, more for what I would be able to do based on my previous experience.
I liked that the process itself was very quick and took place within 2 days. Unfortunately, the video interview was a questions-answer-format due to not having a recruiter on the other side. I felt like being interrogated by court since there was not a real talk. Although I thought the video interview was very interesting, I really missed the human interaction and therefore I was not able to show my best interview skills. The CEO promised to get back to me the following week, but once I didn't hear from her, I sent her an email. She then told me, she got caught up and will touch base again in 2 days. She never did. Very disappointing. She could have a least told me I did not do well enough in the interview.
All in all, the process was really impersonal. They did not seem to be interested in me as a person, only in me as a worker. This can also be seen in their values and "about us" section on the website. It is really hard to figure out what's important to them as an employer.
My advice: I do know that the interview software is one of your business products. But please spent 10 more minutes on the initial phone interview and ask the questions you asked in the video interview. You will get to know the person much better.
