Interview
I applied for this role online on 6th March, and was invited to attend an interview on 26th March. The online application process was very thorough and took me an hour or so to complete.
The interview itself took place in person at the South Wales Police HQ in Bridgend. After signing in, being given a visitor pass, and being led to the correct building, I was presented with a list of interview questions to read through while I waited.
There were three people on the interview panel, including one independent panel member who worked in a different department within South Wales Police.
The interview questions were directly related to the responsibilities of the role, and included topics such as managing a crisis comms situation, leading team members with less experience, using analytics and data in content strategies, being tagged in content regarding domestic abuse while on-call, and discussing previous content that performed well.
The interview took place on a Thursday, and I was told that I would hear the outcome by the end of the week. I was informed that I had unfortunately not been successful via email on the following Monday.
