Interview
Very unorganized and not inclusive. I received an invitation to interview with the library, and they only offered one interview date and required candidates to come in person. I would still be living on the other side of the country on the interview date, so I immediately emailed and called them to ask if I could do a Zoom interview or if I could come in person when I moved home (which was one week after the proposed interview date). I had to follow up several times over email and phone because no one was returning my calls or emails. I finally get an email from the HR team the day before the interviews saying they would not make accommodations for me. Sadly, I had to pull out of the interview process, but I am happy I didn't proceed because I cannot work for a library that cannot make simple accommodations for its candidates. It's 2023 and I was going to be in the town in a week, why can't we do a Zoom interview?
