      Adminstrative Assistant Interview

      May 7, 2023
      Anonymous Interview Candidate
      Edmonton, AB
      Declined offer
      Negative experience
      Easy interview

      Application

I applied online. The process took 6 days. I interviewed at Spasation Spa (Edmonton, AB) in May 2023

      Interview

I applied for the administrative assistant position, however, when I showed up for my interview I was interviewed for reception. Further, the interview was done in the hallway of a mall. I was told that I would have to do reception first before I would be considered for the admin position I applied for. The pay difference is massive between these positions. Out of curiosity, I looked up the qualifications for the head receptionist position after my interview, and was baffled at my findings. The company insists that you have a university degree, and two years of management for $1 above minimum wage. Absolutely insane if you ask me. Overall, my experience was very unprofessional.
