I applied online. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Sprockets in Nov 2022
Interview
The process was pretty smooth and it consisted of four different parts: the initial recruiter interview, an interview with the Sales Manager, a Role Play with the Sales Manager, and a final interview with the CRO. I felt I had a good rapport throughout the process and I was told that I did very well during the role play. It was also mentioned that the assessment I had taken matched me up with their Enterprise Account Executives, which I took as a good sign. About a week after my final interview with the CRO I received a phone call from the Sales Manager asking to connect. Apparently, there were concerns about my lack of prospecting skills and they wanted to assess how "scrappy I would be." I basically had to "pitch" myself all over again and I found this to be very odd that they were still concerned about my qualifications, even though I went through to the final round. Long story short, there were several delays in getting the final decision back (which was communicated by the recruiter via email). Two weeks AFTER my final interview was when I received a "form rejection email" from the recruiter stating that they were going with another candidate. Needless to say, this was very disappointing and frankly a bit unprofessional to give candidates the runaround. If there are concerns about one's qualifications that should be addressed much earlier in the interview process. There really isn't a valid excuse to take 2 weeks to provide a final decision to someone. At this point, you are giving qualified candidates ample time to walk away and take another offer. This definitely left a bad taste in my mouth.
Thank you for the feedback. We aim to provide a smooth, thoughtful, and thorough interview experience; however, it sounds like we dropped the ball here. We are truly sorry for this negative experience and hope you landed somewhere great.
