      Interview

The process was quick and easy. It took about 2 weeks in total. It consisted of: - Recruiter screening - Hiring manager interview - Panel interview Overall the process was positive. However, there are two issues Id like to point out. 1. If a candidate didn't get the role, stop sending generic emails. Give the candidate a call, it is the least you can do. 2. This is a longer one but is a bit of advice as someone who has participated in hiring others. It is in the best interest of any org to focus first on identifying alignment between a candidate's personality with the orgs culture. Everyone's personality is unique and this should be priority #1. If there is alignment there, the second priority is skillset. If a candidate meets 85% or 90% or higher of a jobs requirements but less than 100%, give the candidate the role. I cringe when companies claim to invest in their own people because most of those same companies don't invest in developing talent and putting those values into practice when choosing a candidate. While I recognize it is an employer-driven market, please Spycloud, please stop being like one of 99% or orgs out there looking for unicorns. Be part of the 1% of orgs that do better. Let great candidates develop some skills on the job. Otherwise, orgs will never stop pushing away candidates no matter their experience and background being in good alignment overall. I see many current employees who have FAR less credentials and experience overall at these same companies in general yet they occupy seats there. Make it make sense. For any candidate seeing this post: Please make sure you keep your expectations in check with today's terrible job market. I learned a hard lesson to not move mountains for any org after this experience. It just leads to disappointment. This job market is creating a new norm that frequently paints a stark picture that is in direct contrast to what companies portray themselves as. To be clear, I am not saying you shouldn't put effort into these opportunities. Just don't overdo it and stress yourself so much over one specific company. Unfortunately, this is now a numbers game and I have come to terms with that reality now. I will rate this as a positive experience still. The people I met here were very nice despite the "new norm" that seems to plague companies including newer ones.
