I applied online. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at Spyke Games (Istanbul) in Nov 2025

Interview
Upon inquiring about how often the team works overtime and being told that it's very common, the interviewer also told me the reason they often need to work overtime is "Because you [developers] don't do your jobs well enough. It's not that we want you all to work overtime." (translated and paraphrased)
It felt like a very disrespectful thing to say about not only their current teams, but also people in the industry in general, and not to mention me, who they were supposedly interested in hiring to join one of said teams.
I had read about the overtime problem and about toxicity & mobbing in the workplace, but I definitely didn't think I'd be told something like this on the first step of the interview process. Step 2 would've been a technical interview, step 3 a case work, step 4 a case review, and then a final offer, which would be the first time they'd tell me anything about the salary.
Aside from this, the interview was pretty standard with introductions on both sides, asking what I knew about the company and their games, asking if I had any questions, and a technical code review/quiz section.
