The interview had three stages: online screening, in-person with supervisor, in-person with colleagues. The online screening consisted of a cover letter and resume plus an online form including salary requirements. The first contact was an invitation to meet with the supervisor, one-on-one. This was a formal interview, but it involved information flowing in two directions, so that I had plenty of opportunity to learn about SUP and the production editor position. The follow-up interview with potential colleagues was more of a round-table discussion. I felt very confident at this stage, which might have helped me feel at ease, but I think this would have been easy for anyone who was at all right for the job. This was a very pleasant group of people to meet.
