I applied through an employee referral. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at Star Media Group (Petaling Jaya)
Interview
It was a one day interview and found out the next two weeks that the company was interested. Then took about a month to settle the process and get an offer.
I applied in-person. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at Star Media Group (Petaling Jaya) in Aug 2014
Interview
Was interviewed by the chief editor and two deputy executive editors. I know two of the deputy executive editors because I've worked for them before as a contract staff. The interview began with a written assessment. You are tested on your ability to read Bahasa Malaysia, to do English-BM translations, to write a simple news piece, and some general knowledge about news in Malaysia.
Most of the face-to-face interview was about how much am I willing to commit to the job. They already know I am capable of doing it because I've worked for the company as a contract staff for two years. All in all, one of the most pleasant interviews I've taken part in.
