Applied in February 2026 for the Sourcing Specialist role. Resume was reviewed and I was invited to a phone screen with the HR Manager in early March.
The phone interview itself went well - good rapport, asked thoughtful questions about the role and my experience. I was asked to complete a PI Behavioral Assessment afterward, which I completed same day. HR mentioned they were interested in potentially scheduling a video interview and explicitly stated I would hear back "by the end of the week" regarding next steps.
End of week came and went with no communication. I sent a professional follow-up email the following Monday through their applicant system. No response. Complete silence.
After promising a timeline and next steps, the lack of basic professional courtesy to send even a brief status update or rejection was disappointing. I understand hiring decisions take time and not every candidate moves forward. What's frustrating is making a specific commitment to communicate by a certain date, then providing no follow-up whatsoever.
For candidates: Stellar Industrial's products and reputation seem solid based on research, but be prepared for potential communication gaps in the hiring process. I'd recommend not putting other opportunities on hold while waiting to hear back.
For Stellar: A simple "still reviewing candidates, will update by [date]" or "moving forward with other candidates" email takes 30 seconds and makes a significant difference in candidate experience. Even a rejection is better than silence.
