I applied online. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Storyblok
Interview
I already have a bad impression while having the first call with HR. Not professional, seems like she is also new, and didn't know how to do a proper interview. After you passed the second round, you need to do a long assignment, which is the worst part of this interview. They just want to steal ideas from other candidates.
I applied online. The process took 2 months. I interviewed at Storyblok in Jan 2022
Interview
1. I applied online on the website
2. I received an email invite to interview pretty quickly after that
3. Interview with Head of Talent (30min) immediately after
- This was very relaxed and very conversational
- I had to speak about my professional background/overall experience/the work I was currently doing/salary expectation
- I had to sell myself
4. I was then invited to speak to the Head of Sales soon after that (30min)
- This interview was a little more challenging and sales-specific
5. Task (tasks does take a lot of effort + time)
6. Task Presentation with the departmental team - senior SDR + manager (1hr)
7. Interview Feedback process
- you get the opportunity to give the company feedback about the entire interview process
8. Offer presentation with the recruiter
- The recruiter now presents to you with Storyblok offer
- You can ask questions/share concerns
Final thoughts:
i. Overall the interviews are not difficult, however, if you make it to the task stage... that is significantly more challenging
ii. The company makes a great effort to keep the whole interview process transparent and informative - so you always know what's coming
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
1. Describe your day-to-day activities in your current role
2. What does Storyblok do?
3. Describe your prior experience and current role?
4. What is the difference between BDR & SDR?
5. What is your sales strategy?
6. What is a headless CMS?
Thanks interview was conversational. I was instructed yo ask questions to the interviewer about my research on the company before being asked questions.
Overall, I think the interviewer was very warming.
