Recently interviewed with StudyBlue. I only got as far as the HR interview and it was ridiculous! A phone screen was set up with the HR for a Back End - Software Engineer position. I had a very good conversation with her and spoke about my interests and why I wanted to join StudyBlue. I had mentioned startup atmosphere and also that I was excited to work on "all" layers of the stack. Turns out this was a big mistake. Later when I got the reject and asked for feedback, I was told they are looking for candidates who are only interested in "Back End" since I had shown interest in Full stack they are not considering me! This is the first time some company is rejecting based on more interest!
