I applied through college or university. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Suncor Energy (Vancouver, BC) in Oct 2013
Interview
I was interviewed by two engineers in Vancouver. 16 others were being interviewed at my school that day - only 3 of us were chosen. The questions were primarily about my previous experience and the details of the roles and my abilities. There was also a behavioural based component. It was clear that it was part of a interviewing formula they were given as they didn't seem quite as interested in my answers to those questions as they were when talking about my skills and experience. As usual, I was given the opportunity to ask questions at the end which the answered well. The whole experience was pleasant and the interviewers were very friendly.
Completed a pre-screening interview on Hirevue for this position. It was really relaxed. They give you enough time between questions and 2 attempts at answering video questions. Overall, you could really focus on making sure you were giving quality answers.
