      Sales Interview

      Application

I applied through a recruiter. The process took 4 days. I interviewed at Sunlighten

      Interview

The initial interaction with the recruiter was positive; however, there were significant discrepancies between the role as described by the recruiter and the reality presented by the hiring managers. While the onsite benefits—such as the gym, saunas, and catered lunches—are impressive, it quickly became apparent that these perks are designed to keep employees onsite for long hours. Regarding the interview panel, the female interviewer was sincere and upbeat, which made the experience bearable. Unfortunately, the male interviewer appeared disengaged and dismissive, which negatively impacted the process. The final role-play exercise lacked clear expectations, making it difficult to demonstrate performance. My biggest concern was the lack of team longevity; when I asked about retention, I was told the longest-tenured sales representative had only been there five years, with an average of three. This raised a red flag regarding company culture.
