After the application, which included short editing tasks, I completed an editing test and received detailed feedback on it. I also had a Zoom interview where we discussed the company's work and my goals as an editor.

It was a lovely, relaxed interview. The interviewer was friendly and informative. There are some reviews out there that say editors are paid per project and not hourly, but she assured me that's not the case. That's more true for the writers. They start by telling you more about the company and then ask about your background. Questions are fairly easy and straightforward. My nerves just got the better of me, and I sounded like an idiot. In hindsight, there was no reason to be nervous at all. Interview was scheduled for 15 to 20 minutes, but it was a bit closer to half an hour cause we started chatting. I interviewed on a Thursday and heard back the following Monday. I didn't pick up on any red flags, so I'd say give it a shot. Good luck!
