Overall a rather nasty experience. During the day of the interview, the shutters to the entrance was shut and it looked like the office was closed. However, after calling, the architect opened the shutters and quickly rushed me in. Apparently, it was supposed to be wfh default but the office was full and the shutters were down to prevent getting fined by MOM officers. From this you can already guess what company culture will be like - highly sus.
During the interview, the interviewer demanded that the expected salary has to be lowered by 10-15% of my current pay, with the reason that my pay should be within their employees pay range. To worsen the experience, the interviewer stated that each junior architects are expected to handle more than 5 to 6 projects simultaneously, and to wear many hats - e.g. they have no QS and the architects are supposed to come up with costings (which is ridiculous as this is always outsourced). This is the same as telling the interviewee "if u accept this job, u slave ur life away for this company while we rip you off"
Needless to say, one can already sense that they will be overworked, burned out, with 0 work life balance and extremely underpaid. Dont bother with this company as there are definitelt other architecture companies who will pay higher with better work culture.
