I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at TRE Elevators (Van Nuys, CA) in Feb 2023
Interview
The hiring process was short, just two weeks. They contacted me by phone on a Friday and scheduled an in-person interview for the following Tuesday. The on-site interview was odd - I arrived and no one was there. After waiting for about 10 minutes, someone finally appeared and directed me where to wait. I waited for about 30 minutes before someone came in and started the interview without introducing themselves. The hiring manager didn't have time to review my resume or portfolio because he was too busy, and instead asked me a few questions and had me draw some designs on a blank sheet of paper. When I told them it would take me 30 minutes to complete a mechanical design in Solidworks, they said that was too long and that they expected it to be done in 5~7 minutes. I left feeling confused and disheartened. A week later, I received an offer, but I decided not to accept it.
