      Data Scientist Interview

      Application

I applied through a recruiter. The process took 2 months. I interviewed at TSC (Raritan, NJ) in Sep 2019

      Interview

The process involve one phone interview and two site interviews. They schedule the phone interview 3 times. The first two time no one called at all!!!! Then there was two very immature interviews who didn't really know what they were talking about. The phone interviewer mentioned that the end client is Novartis. Then, after couple of weeks they scheduled a site interview. This was the most nonprofessional interview I have ever had. First of all they revealed that the site interview is for a position for another company. The first person who met me at the front door didn't say hello or introduce himself. He just ask me to follow him. Then he made a phone call to India and someone from there ask me few technical questions. Then I had to wait for about an hour and half to meet with their hiring manager. He was by far the most incompetent person I have ever seen. He really didn't have any idea about AI, Machine Learning or how the business works. After these interviews they called me in another time for an interview with their client. The interview with the client was smooth and he seemed to be knowledgeable. Then, they told me that I was accepted by their client and they want to give me an offer. Their recruiter called me more than 10 times with weird questions. He was asking if I will accepting immediately if they extend an offer or if I will accept something much less that what we originally spoke about. When I told him that I will not accept anything lower I didn't hear from them for couple of weeks. Then they called me and said they want to extend an offer. By that time I already accepted another offer which was much higher than their offer with much better perks. After I told this to HR the hiring manager called me and said that It was unprofessional for me to accept another offer!!! Overall stay away from these guys. Very unprofessional people with no respect for the candidates.
