I received an email to set up a phone interview just a day or so after applying for a Recruiting/Sourcing Consulting type role. I had a good experience speaking to the head of recruiting/hr during the phone interview. However, the second interview in their process is to have a "conversation with the owner" so that I could "ask questions." That was not the case. Markus talked the entire time and I couldn't get a word in without interrupting him. Surely I wouldn't be taken out of the process just because he was taking the whole time right? How would he even know if I'm capable of doing the job if we didn't discuss my qualifications? Anyway, over a week later after not receiving a response I followed up with the head of HR to get an update and the reply was that they were redefining the position to better fit their needs, but ironically I saw the same posting on LinkedIn a day later.
