I applied online. The process took 5 weeks. I interviewed at Taxfix in Mar 2021
Interview
It has been the worst interview process in my life. It took over 5 weeks, 39 days to be precise.
My humble request to anyone applying here is PLEASE DON'T WASTE YOUR TIME, there are better things in life that you can do with your time.
The interview process super long and the recruiter/ HR didn't respect all the effort and time that I've put in for the interview process.
I applied online and after a week got invited to the first interview. There were 5 interviews in the hiring process and I will share as much details as I can here.
Interview 1: Chat with HR (30 min)
Day 1
I logged into the hangouts meeting and no one showed up. I sent an email after waiting 10 min. Received an email saying that he is not available and it has to be rescheduled. Sent an email back to reschedule interview for next day. No response that day.
Day 2
Got an email saying that he is not available today and scheduled it for next day.
Day 3
Had a chat with HR for 30 min, went through some basic HR questions.
Day 12
No follow up from HR even after 10 days. So I emailed him about the next steps. And got invited to a technical interview to be held after 4 days
Day 16
Interview 2: Technical interview (1 hour)
I was asked some technical questions and did a pair programming with one of the engineers and it was done in a professional manner and I performed well. The engineer was polite.
Day 18
No feedback from HR, so I reached out in an email. Got invited to the next technical round. It was supposed to be held after 6 days.
Day 24
On the interview day got an email saying that the interviewers won't be available and it has to be rescheduled. No tentative date mentioned in the email.
Day 25
I sent an email asking for the new interview dates. Had to wait 2 days to get the reply.
Day 27
Received an email and got invited to another interview to be held after 4 days
Day 31
Had 2 back to back interviews, on that day
Interview 3: Technical interview with engineer (2 Hr)
Pair programming and some technical questions related to the role I was applying for. The engineer was professional and I performed well.
Interview 4: Engineering manager interview (30 min)
Some general product management questions, behavioural questions.
Day 34
No feedback from HR. Sent an email asking feedback. No reply for 4 days.
Day 38
HR wanted to have another call the next day to give interview feedback. Didn't get any email confirmation or invite mentioning the timings.
Day 39
I sent an email requesting for an invite to the call with the timings.
Got the email invite for the final feedback call.
Interview 5: Final feedback (was supposed to be a 30 min call but ended in 5 min)
I performed good in all the interviews but I won't be hired because they company's requirements have changed and they are not hiring for this role right now.
The HR even told me that he will contact me in the next 6 months to go through the process again. What a joke.
I've sent an email to the recruiting team about the whole fiasco with all the details.
Day 44
I received an email with a bunch of lame excuses about how all their recruiters are stretched and overworked. They wanted to setup another call to explain their situation.
I didn't bother to respond. I don't want to waste any more time with them.
I believe I've dodged a bullet by not getting hired by such folks.

Talk about an experience you impacted your team, in your past experience.
I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Taxfix (Madrid) in Jun 2021
Interview
The interview process consists of 4 steps basically. It started with an HR call. HR was very polite and just talked about the company, position, and asked some behavioral interview questions.
After that, I received an invitation for pair programming. There were 4 questions which are not that hard. Also, my pair helped me to get over quickly from some hardpoints.
3rd stage was also a pair programming session and it was nice too. We worked on a sample project and asked to fetch some data and print it to screen.
The last stage was a behavioral interview and it wasn't hard.
Overall, the people were really nice and polite and I just rejected the offer because of personal reasons.
