I applied through an employee referral. I interviewed at Tencent Cloud (Palo Alto, CA) in Oct 2020
Interview
The interview process consisted of four different interviews. There were two technical interviews, one interview with upper management and one interview with HR. For the most part it was a very straight forward process. Because I was seen as a subject matter expert for specific technologies and that was the role they were looking to fill, the questions were very direct and not very difficult. Since they do provide a full cloud offering, there were technologies that I was not completely versed in and I was honest with them about that. This fact did not seem to affect the overall assessment of my capabilities.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
What kind of large scale events have you supported and provided solutions for? For enterprise customers that you have worked with, what size companies are they? How do you assess what the best technical solution would be when meeting with clients? What challenges have you encountered in aligning a customer's technical needs with your existing company's offerings? What do you see as the future of the technologies used in the industry for supporting live events?
Worst interview experience ever.
Interviewer never turn on the camera, nor introduce himself, or give chance to ask questions. The whole interview is a one way interrogation.
