I went through two rounds of interviews, the first with higher level executives at Textore, followed by another interview with the actual research team leads.
The process stretched out over about two weeks, and with one hour of interviewing each round. The first interview was quite conversational and just explored my own experiences while I got to learn more about the company. The interviewer was pleasant to talk to, and it was a relaxed chat.
In the following round, I was advised to simply treat the second interview as an opportunity to have a conversation with experts in the field. I spoke with two of the research team leaders on the research team over zoom.
While I was asked a few questions, it was an opportunity to demonstrate that I had the ability to hold an intelligent conversation on the research subject. Most of the interview was actually comprised of Q&A on substantive research topics, which was a refreshing change from the usual interview process. Overall, pleasant people to speak with.
In the end, however, I was told that I did not receive an offer. The interview process, however, was fairly comfortable with kind all around folks at the company.
