    ECommerce Marketing Specialist Interview

    Easy Interview

    Application

I applied online. I interviewed at The Bradford Group (Niles, IL) in June 2017.

    Interview

I applied through LinkedIn. Within a week, I received a call from a recruiter and had a phone interview. She told me they were looking for someone who was Google AdWord certified, but that I could get it on the job. Despite not originally having the certification, I successfully completed all 8 Google certifications prior to the interview to show them that I was serious. She sent me a psychological evaluation and an application. I then went onsite where I completed a 50-question, 15-minute aptitude test, a 10-question Excel test, and interviewed with four managers. This took 4.5 hours because managers insisted on asking the same questions over and over again or asking questions that I answered before they were even asked. They seemed like an inexperienced squad, to be honest. Despite that, one of the managers told me upfront, "You had a pretty good interview." I sent thank you emails the next day and followed up once a week for three weeks after with the reoccurring promise that they would be making a decision the next week. Despite all of that, I never received an acceptance nor a rejection.

    Application

I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at The Bradford Group (Niles, IL) in March 2017.

    Interview

Applied online through the company site and was called a while later by the Employment Consultant (Ana) there for an initial 30 minute phone screening. She then contacted me back a few days later to set up a 1-hour Skype interview with the Hiring Manager. After that, I was asked to come in for an on-site interview to meet with 3 other people which took about 4.5 hours in total. I was also asked to complete an on-line behavioral test and then another competency test after my on-site interview. It was a throrough screening process and I got the impression that the company really wants to be sure they are hiring the right candidates. The Employee Consultant, Ana, was always very nice and accommodating and helped make an out-of-state interview process a lot easier for me!

Ask generic question at first to get to know what you do and get a feel of how you are like. Showing the portfolio they expect to see work created with Photoshop and Illustrator. Able to retouch , recreate art, vectorize is a must.

Phone interview with HR representative first and then they bring you in for an in-person interview with the heads of the department, typically being 2 or 3 people. very casual and they ask you about your past experience and what you expect to get out of this job.

    Interview

Very normal interview process. Had a phone interview with a recruiter going over my resume, major and classes at school, extracurricular's, why I wanted to go into my field. Then, came in for a in-person interview and interviewed with 2 people in the department. Very conversational and easy going!

    Application

I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at The Bradford Group (Niles, IL) in December 2015.

    Interview

I applied online, had a phone interview with a very unknowledgeable HR person. After hearing nothing from them after several weeks, I was finally granted an in-person interview. During that in-person interview with several people, I was treated as if they were doing me a huge favor by granting me an actual interview which is funny because the salary they were offering was a huge insult. HR didn't even exercise the professional courtesy of following up with me. I've interviewed with them in the past and the egotistical attitude remains. Don't let this company waste your time.

    Application

I applied online. The process took 2 days. I interviewed at The Bradford Group (Niles, IL) in October 2015.

    Interview

I was emailed a request for a phone interview. The original phone interview was cancelled at the last minute and rescheduled. Once the phone interview took place, the HR interviewer was rushed and unprepared, and seemed to not have much HR experience and didn't have a clear idea about the details of the open position. When I tried to followed up a few weeks after the phone interview, I was treated rudely and with little regard. This is now the third negative interviewing experience I've had with this company. I now understand why this company has so many negative reviews by those that have interviewed and the people that work/worked for this company.

    Interview Questions

    • I wasn't asked much about my background and skills. The person conducting the phone interview treated the interview with a "conveyor belt" mentality.   Answer Question
