No integrity. I was ghosted after being submitted for a role. They reached out to me about a Director role. The interviewer didn't show up for the call she scheduled. I had to reach out to her to reschedule. We interview and I'm moved on to the client. I connect on LinkedIn, follow-up in a week and again in 1.5 weeks. No reply. The interviewer sounded young and new. There was no job description. Red flag, but sometimes you define a role with a CxO/Owner because they let you help define the new leadership role. Or, perhaps this was a fake job for the person to practice. Perhaps the client passed. As a hiring manager I get that hundreds of candidates apply for each role and many shouldn't be. You may not respond to every one even though any decent HR system allows you to bucket candidates and send out an email template. But, when YOU seek the candidate out, interview and move ahead. Show some professional decency after. A great opportunity might be worth briefly dealing with such character, but there are just too many recruiters, especially boutique head hunters, to have to do so.
