I made it to the final round. I truly believe I was not offered a position because I asked about their DEI and anti-racist work. They expressed DEI work is something they can improve on. I told them it’s very important for me being that I work with black and brown children. The interview shifted after my comment

The interviewing process had multiple steps, but they were not difficult. I made it to the last round and asked the initiatives they had around DEI work. After, it seemed like everything shifted.
