The interview process with Gotcha started out fine. I interviewed with a hiring manager, which was about an hour in total, who then moved me forward process with a VP in the company. The interview with the VP was also about an hour long. After my interview with the VP, I was quickly moved on in the process with the COO, while still in high communication with the hiring manager. The COO and I spoke for an hour about the position, with high-quality dialogue, and interactive conversation. All parts of the process were positive, and interactive.....until I was ghosted. I was told of no direction and was given no updates. I reached out in a respectful time period, all for no response, and one email contact completely having their email shut down. I am very aware that companies get busy, and also aware other people get selected, but the complete lack of decency and a total lack of basic respect/common courtesy was disappointing. The company had set itself up to be respectable in its mission and interaction, only to be disappointing in the end with its complete lack of business etiquette. I was completely cooperative with the company in this month-long process, giving up time, only to be ghosted without any heads up. I would not be surprised if this is a normal way of interaction with this company.
