Applied through an external recruiter, they took weeks to set up the initial interview when comparable firms did within a week or so. Firstly, the interviewer’s connection was so poor that it was difficult to make out full sentences, it’s already hard enough to connect with someone via zoom. My interviewer seemed bored throughout and genuinely uninterested in hearing my answers to her questions. She didn’t ask many, and they were all very generic (what do you think it takes to be good at the job, etc). Did not give satisfactory answers to my questions either, further leading me to believe she simply wasn’t paying attention and frankly couldn’t be bothered with me. A word of advice to anyone reading, if you have applied somewhere that doesn’t consider the graduate hiring process a priority it is likely that they’ll put minimal effort into effectively training you as well.
