Phone recruiter interview first. Pretty simple. Then 45 minute video interview w/hiring manager which went extremely well and at the end we discussed planning another interview round, went deep into compensation, & even went over the allotted time it was planned for. Then 20 minutes after the interview he emails me that after further thought he was going to pursue other candidates. The last thing he said to me was that he was going to email a reference check application and get the 2nd interview scheduled. Whatever happened in 20 minutes between then is a mystery. I asked for feedback & what changed & he wouldn’t even respond.
