Applied and got a call from main HR for a phone interview. Took them several days to call me back with a time but had a decent excuse for the delay. Had a very pleasant interview and decided I wanted to move forward. About a week later had an onsite interview with Institute Director and Regional Director. That went really well and I enjoyed the experience. Was told after about a week I would be contacted. After that week and no contact, I followed up with HR, again waited and was told they wanted a final interview with a principle. Did that via skype and again enjoyed the experience. Was then offered the position a few days later and was quite excited about the opportunity to work at this school and with its amazing students. Upon asking the standard questions regarding insurance, time off, etc. I still thought things were going well. I was a bit taken aback that the offer did not quite match what I put as my minimum (that they request) on the application. So I countered with a $2000 more and was told she would ask and get back to me the next day. The next day came and went. I called at the end of the day...nothing. The weekend passed...nothing. I called that next day...nothing. At this point I was quite taken aback and frustrated with the lack of communication and should have known based on the previous slow communication that they suck in that arena. Finally after sending an email I got a curt response that they were not going to fill the position. Really?! After offering me the job and wasting a crazing amount of my time and yours, the offer was rescinded. No real reason was given so since they were all over me for the first 3 interviews I can only imagine me asking for a measly 2K more offended their company.
