I applied in-person. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at The Y (YMCA) (Bartlesville, OK) in May 2009
Interview
The environment was set at the pool itself, and it was short and comfortable. The interviewer was the person I directly reported to (Pool Supervisor). Some of the more difficult questions regarded technical answers learned from your certifying training as a rescuer and CPR. I also had to perform a swim test, but I was told in advance from their initial phone call.
