I applied in-person. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at The Y (YMCA) (Scotch Plains, NJ) in Sep 2011
Interview
I went in one day and asked the front desk if they were hiring. She gave me a number to call and I called that day and asked if they were hiring and was asked to come in for an interview that week. The employer was very nice and friendly and made me feel very comfortable. She asked basic questions about the different swimming techniques and if I was able to teach adults as well.
