I applied in-person. I interviewed at The Y (YMCA) (Pittsburg, CA) in Jan 2014
Interview
I had been suggested for the job by my swim coach who was also serving as the aquatics director at the time. Upon her recommendation, I met with the Program Director, who then became my contact person during the interview process. After he had contacted my references, I went in for an official interview, and was notified that I had gotten the job just a few days later. Overall, the process was very straightforward and navigable.
Smooth and welcoming. The interaction was positive and conversation flowed nicely throughout. I felt like my answers were being listened to, and that the interviewers were very engaged with me and what I had to say.

The interview process was overall easy. You just need to have your certifications, you need to pass a breathing test, and you need to pass a swim test. Pretty easy interview.
