I applied in-person. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at The Y (YMCA) (Wilton, CT) in Jan 2012
Interview
Pretty low key interview. Didn't even take place in a formal conference room. One on one with Assistant Aquatics Director. Was really focused on me having specifically three references, but didn't require much else as far as an application is concerned. Whole process took about 20 minutes and was offered the job then.

What are the four core values of the YMCA and how do you live by them?
Smooth and welcoming. The interaction was positive and conversation flowed nicely throughout. I felt like my answers were being listened to, and that the interviewers were very engaged with me and what I had to say.

The interview process was overall easy. You just need to have your certifications, you need to pass a breathing test, and you need to pass a swim test. Pretty easy interview.
