      Interview

The process ran in a weird way. First the recruiter reach out to me scheduling a call, but at the day/time they never called. So I reached out to them again, then, they schedule another call. Everything was running smoothly, having interviews and receiving feedbacks in about a week. In my last interview (on-site), i did a couple of meetings, and everyone was really friendly and welcoming. The last step was with the Hiring manager and he gave me a really good feedback, already making plans how to on-board me and etc. And then, they suddenly disappeared. I sent more than 5 emails asking for feedback and nobody replied back. This took at least 3 months, then, they finally reached out back saying that I was not selected for generic reasons. I never had such experience with a company like this, terrible.

      Application

I applied online. The process took 2 months. I interviewed at Tinder (Los Angeles, CA) in Oct 2019

      Interview

There were four rounds involved in the process - 1) First Round: 30min chat with the recruiter around general questions for the role (Technical and behavioral) 2) SecondRound: 30min chat with the recruiter around general questions for the role ( Technical and testing your fit) 3)Third Round: Case Study with generic questions to see your acumen towards security aspects as a whole. 4) Fourth Round On-site: 5 hour interview with six people (4 individual and one 2 on 1). Around all functions of the role, fit, culture expectation, etc. Pretty tiring but lunch is included. There was a mix-up in the schedule for my case, and the schedule was completely different than what was provided. I didn't get an offer in spite of doing well for the interview and case study, and the recruiter did suggest that they went with someone more junior. Overall the experience was nice, with constant communication and smooth transition in the different stages. I feel the offer wasn't given more so on account of a pending budgetary reason and would have been nice to given the actual reason instead of stating the reason that they needed someone with less experience. Again, that was my outlook and the actual scenario may be different (trying to be objective). I would recommend Tinder for the interview process though just better communication needed for the feedback part of the process.
